Southampton U19s 1-1 Spurs
Mario Noto's super strike grabbed a well-deserved point for Pat Holland's boys against Southampton.
The striker drove home delightfully in the second half and caused havoc in the latter stages after being switched to the right flank.
Slack defending allowed the Saints to grab the lead in the first half and they almost doubled it when they hit the woodwork minutes later.
But we hit back and the move of the half almost ended in a goal when Nicky Wettner drove Stephen Kelly's cross onto the post.
The balance shifted to Spurs after the break but it wasn't until the 75th minute that Noto hit his equaliser.
Boss Pat reasoned: "They shaded the first half, took the lead when we failed to deal with the ball on a few occasions and then hit the bar.
"But we had more possession in the second half and played a lot better without really creating a great deal.
"I switched Mario and Mark Yeates around, moved Mario to the right flank and he cut in to score an excellent goal, a drive into the top corner. He went to the byline a few minutes later as well but they managed to scramble it away.
"I've been fairly happy with the start but it's early days yet."
