Match Report - Second Year Trainees v Wolves U18 - 28 Aug 2004

U18 Academy South

FA PREMIER ACADEMY LEAGUE

Spurs U18s 1-1 Wolves

Our Under-18s started and finished well against Wolves but couldn't grab a winner in Saturday's FAPAL encounter.

Stuart Lewis (pictured) gave the lads the ideal start after 10 minutes but Wolves levelled seconds after the break and although we finished in control, the second goal proved elusive.

Coach Pat Holland reflected: "We started off brightly and scored after about 10 minutes when Stuart Lewis received the ball on the edge of the box and drove it wide of the keeper. A good goal.

"But we started to get a little fragmented. For me, Wolves weren't really a threat but then again, we weren't really on our game.

"In the second half we suffered the sucker punch with a ball over the top, we should have done better and they scored after 46 minutes.

"We had to try and get our rhythm back but I never felt we did. All in all another frustrating day."

Spurs U18s: Forecast, McKenna, Kyriacou, Mascarhenas (O'Hara, 65), Welch, Mills, Barcham, Lewis, Dawkins (Seanla, 75), Thyer, Maghoma (Stevens, 70). Unused subs: Eyre.
