Match Report - Nottingham Forest U17 v Tottenham Hotspur U17 - 30 Aug 2003

U17 Academy South

FA PREMIER ACADEMY LEAGUE

Nottingham Forest U17s 2-1 Spurs

Jimmy Neighbour was disappointed to leave Forest with no reward after a positive performance from his side.

Forest capitalised on a slow start and were 2-0 up by the time Charlie Lee (pictured right) pulled a goal back in the second half.

Coach Jimmy reflected: "It was similar to last week, we started slowly and went a goal down after a couple of minutes.

"Forest played well for half and hour, passed it well and scored another midway through the second half where perhaps we could have defended better.

"But generally in the second half we played well and pushed them and to be honest, we were by far the better team.

"Charlie Lee got the goal just after their second and we had a few more chances and if we'd have taken them, who knows.

"In the end I was disappointed we didn't get anything out of the game but I was delighted because the lads played well."
