Fulham U17s 2-2 Spurs
Another day of mixed emotions for U17 coach Jimmy Neighbour after this draw against Fulham.
Once again his youngsters played well but they also went a goal down again and having fought back to lead 2-1, conceded a last-minute equaliser.
Jimmy takes up the story. "We started brightly, passed the ball well, created few chances and were definitely the better side.
"But they went a goal up just before half-time when they went down the right, crossed, there was confusion defensively and they nipped in to score. It was a poor goal to give away at that time.
"We started brightly again, played some good stuff and equalised 10 minutes in when Danny Stevens got onto a Charlie Lee pass down the middle, took it to the box and took his goal well.
"We then took the lead when a shot by Danny again was followed up by Jack Maghoma.
"We created more chances but I felt we were on the back foot at times and unfortunately they equalised a minute from time.
"It was disappointing because we played well but I was pleased with how we played.
"It would be nice to score first in a game, obviously we got ourselves in front here and we couldn't hold out but we were the better side and were unfortunate not to win it.
"Hopefully they'll learn the lessons and when we get ahead again try to close it out."
