Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

A few eyebrows were raised when Chelsea were pushed all the way by promoted Wigan on the first day of the season. Were there some chinks in the champions' armour? Would they struggle to score goals? Would they prove invincible again this season?

The next two matches have gone a long way to answering those questions - a 1-0 victory against Arsenal before a four-goal thumping of West Brom and suddenly Jose Mourinho's men are two points clear at the top of the Premiership and, taking into account the Community Shield as well, have played four, won four and are yet to concede a goal so far.

Chelsea have bought big again this summer. Asier Del Horno, a highly-rated left-back from Athletic Bilbao, lightning winger Shaun Wright-Phillips from Manchester City and midfielder Michael Essien from Lyon have arrived at Stamford Bridge for a combined £53million.

But it's the mainstays who are the key to Chelsea's success. John Terry and Frank Lampard are the spine of Chelsea and England - Terry the inspiration and Lampard the driving force from midfield. If Lampard plays at the Lane, he will chalk up 150 successive Premiership appearances.

Petr Cech: Records seem to have tumbled throughout the Czech star's career - he broke the national record for the longest spell without conceding a goal at Sparta Prague before a move to Rennes in France and after joining Chelsea last summer, helped them to 1024 minutes without conceding a goal, a record in the top flight in England. Kept five clean sheets in Euro 2004 as the Czechs reached the semi-finals and he was named in the UEFA team of the tournament. No surprises that he was named in the Premiership XI of last term as well.

John Terry: Inspirational skipper who has rightly taken his place as one of England's centre-backs. Joined Chelsea at 14 and rised through the ranks and, like Lampard, is a mainstay of the side despite Chelsea's huge squad and rotation system. Strong in the air and tackle and good on the ball. Voted Player of the Year by his fellow professionals after lifting the title last season.

Frank Lampard: Signed for £11m from West Ham in 2002, Lampard has developed into one of England's best midfielders. The driving force behind Chelsea's success, ever-present last season and now chasing the record of successive Premiership appearances currently belonging to David James and standing at 159. Scored twice against West Brom in midweek and a threat - he bagged 22 from midfield last season.

August 24, 2005: Premiership: Chelsea 4, West Brom 0
August 21, 2005: Premiership: Chelsea 1, Arsenal 0
August 14, 2005: Premiership:Wigan 0, Chelsea 1
August 7, 2005: FA Community Shield, Cardiff: Chelsea 2, Arsenal 0
May 15, 2005: Premiership: Newcastle 1, Chelsea 1

January 15, 2005: Premiership: Spurs 0 Chelsea 2: Two goals from Frank Lampard - the first a controversial penalty, the second in injury time - secured the points as Chelsea marched on towards the title. This was our last defeat at the Lane and our only home loss since November.

Anthony Gardner: “Chelsea are in good form as you could see from Wednesday night’s results, they are scoring goals and it will be our toughest game yet,” considered the big defender. If we can keep our record defensively and keep another clean sheet then we know we play our best attacking football at home and that gives us a good chance to get a result."

Jose Mourinho: "We are playing well again and we are confident we can carry on with the record, but of course they have a big motivation to play against us and the game will be difficult. They play as a team, and that is what makes it difficult. If a team just has a good striker, defender or keeper, it is never a threat to you - it is when they have a good team, good organisation and structure. That is what Martin is working at, and they have a good team."

If Michael Dawson plays, it will be the 100th league appearance of his career. We are aiming for a fifth-successive clean sheet in the Premiership for the first time since February 2001. Chelsea are looking to extend their unbeaten run in the Premiership to 33 matches.
