Match minutes key for Pritch

Two-goal Alex Pritchard said his run-out for our Under-21s in Monday’s victory over Everton was timely as he bids to get back to full fitness.
After injuring his ankle on England duty at the European Under-21 Championships over the summer, the attacking midfielder has been working hard on the road to recovery at Hotspur Way.
Having just returned to full training, the 22-year-old was pleased to get 45 minutes of much-needed game time in our 4-1 Barclays Under-21 Premier League triumph against the Toffees, with his two first half goals coming as an added bonus.
“It’s always good to get back out there and play proper football, especially with the younger lads,” said ‘Pritch’, who scored 12 goals from midfield on loan at Brentford last season.
“It was my first full training session on Sunday so to get 45 minutes under my belt was good to kick on after the weekend.
“The main thing is to get minutes in because I haven’t played any matches in pre-season so to come back, get the game time and then to score two goals to help the team win is obviously a plus.
“I’ve been grafting for a while now and hopefully that will help me get into the squad. I’m ready to kick on now.”
