Massive week - Andre
Andre Villas-Boas was again full of praise for the players after we made it three wins in the space of six days in the Premier League at Fulham on Saturday.
Sandro's key opening strike from 35 yards and another two-goal salvo from Jermain Defoe secured the 3-0 victory at Craven Cottage.
It was a typically tight affair between the teams on the banks of the Thames before Sandro broke the deadlock on 56 minutes. That opened the game up and we took advantage via a quickfire double from JD in the 72nd and 77th minutes to put the issue beyond doubt.
The win moved us up to fourth in the Premier League, level on points with Chelsea and West Brom in third and fifth respectively and completed a week to remember with victories over West Ham, Liverpool and now Fulham.
"It was a very important win and it's been a massive week for us," said Andre.
"I'm delighted because we've made the jump into fourth spot, level on points with third.
"We've changed our fortunes, bearing in mind that we played two top teams recently, defeats that left us disappointed, but we're back on track and the lads have been absolutely amazing.
"They've played the last four games (starting at Lazio) with such high intensity and now three wins in a week in the Premier League. They've been outstanding. The effort and commitment, the way they have put themselves in line to get these results has been great to see."
The only down side from Craven Cottage were hamstring injuries that forced Michael Dawson off after just 18 minutes and then Gareth Bale on the hour. "Hopefully they won't be too bad," added Andre.
