Marshall the mascot!

22 April 2017|Tottenham Hotspur

Marshall Janson will be leading the team out at Wembley for today’s FA Cup Semi-Final with Chelsea.

It is nearly a year since the nine-year-old fan was invited for an unforgettable kick-around with his heroes on the pitch at half-time during our match with Southampton at the Lane last season.

Brave Marshall had been brought to the Club’s attention via a social media post from a family friend, telling the story of how he had lost all of his limbs to meningitis as a baby.

Despite his challenges, Marshall was determined not to let anything stand in his way of playing the game he loves and the heart-warming post was aimed at showing the world that he had nothing to be embarrassed about when playing football with his new prosthetic legs.

It received an overwhelming response from fans and led to Mousa Dembele inviting him onto the pitch to join in the half-time warm-up with the substitutes – re-live that magical moment below.

We look forward to seeing Marshall again at Wembley as he leads his heroes out onto the pitch for the big game.
