March Hotspur - out now!
There is only one Younes Kaboul. Or so they sing. Now Spurs fans may have to revisit that refrain and double the emphasis as they witness the second coming of our in-form French international defender.
Younes has been a consistent revelation all season at the heart of our defence where other partners have come and gone for various reasons while he battles on, having now established himself as one of the Premier League’s toughest performers.
And Kaboul is the main interview in the March issue of Hotspur magazine, which is out now.
He talks about his early days at Spurs; how linking up with Harry Redknapp at Portsmouth allowed him to grow in confidence and stature; and how delighted he is to have this second chance at Tottenham with the opportunity to show our fans the real Younes Kaboul.
“I felt that I had some good games early on at Spurs in that first spell but then there was a change of manager and suddenly there didn’t seem to be much of a chance for me any more,” he tells Hotspur.
“So when Harry offered to sign me for Portsmouth I decided to take the chance. I just had this feeling that here was a manager who trusted me and would give me the chance to establish myself in this country.”
