Many hurdles to go
Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
Glenn Hoddle says it's too early to judge anyone in the Premiership - likening the season to the Grand National.
Much has been said about our promising early start and the fact that West Ham have been marooned at the bottom after their midweek defeat at home to West Brom.
Now we meet at the Lane on Sunday and boss Glenn pointed out: "It's too early in the race to talk about where teams will finish - after 10 games there will be a bit of realism about it.
"At the moment we've found ourselves near the top but no-one in the camp is doing somersaults about that, we've very much got our feet on the ground. That result again Fulham shows the work we've got ahead of us.
"It's a long, long season. The Premiership is like the Grand National, you don't know where you are going to finish after five fences."
The proof of that comes in the shape of West Ham and Glenn Roeder. The Hammers suffered a similar, sticky start last time around but finished in seventh place come May.
"It's so early and, yes, you only have to look at what Glenn did last season," added Glenn. "Glenn's a very good friend of mine but this week I've had my own concerns to deal with.
"I've watched a tape of their defeat against West Brom, they played well for 20 minutes and if they'd have scored in that period it would have been a different result. They are not a team playing poorly, just a team that hasn't managed a win yet.
"It's not a bad game for West Ham, a derby and they'll come over really fired up, knowing what they've got to do. That will make them more resilient.
"We know it will be tough but as far as we're concerned, we're focussed. I feel that. The only way to get Fulham out of our system is three points."
