Luka excited for Euros
Luka Modric has told tottenhamhotspur.com of his desire for Croatia to prosper at Euro 2012.
Modric is the second member of our midfield, alongside Scott Parker, who will play a major role in his team’s campaign, and the 26-year-old is desperate for success with his country.
Croatia have been drawn in a very difficult looking group, with matches against Italy and Spain to follow their opening fixture against Ireland, which takes place on Sunday.
“It’s a great occasion and I’m looking forward to it,” Luka told tottenhamhotspur.com.
“It’s my second European finals, we’re in a tough group with Spain, Italy and Ireland but I’m expecting a good tournament and I think we can go far.
“We go there with hope and belief that we can go through to the next round. If we can do that, anything can happen from there.”
We'll have more from Luka talking about Croatia's fixture against Ireland later this week.
