Luka aims for third-time lucky
Luka Modric is looking for third-time lucky at Wembley with Spurs on Sunday.
The midfielder has mixed fortunes after playing at the famous venue for club and country.
He was part of the Croatia team that beat England on the way to qualifying for Euro 2008 back in September, 2007 but then missed out injured as England gained revenge with a 5-1 win two years later.
On the Spurs front, Luka was part of the team that lost to United in the 2009 Carling Cup Final and then returned a year later only to lose again, this time in the FA Cup semi-final against Portsmouth in April, 2010.
"It's a great venue, a great pitch and the atmosphere is amazing," said Luka. "I can say that it’s one of the best stadiums I’ve played in.
"This is a big game for us, we want to play in the final. We have already played Chelsea twice in the league and they both finished with draws.
"We just need to take the positives from those games and believe in ourselves and try to win the game. It will be a little bit different this time, cup games are always different to the league, but we believe in our quality and hope that we will reach the final."
