Looking good for Ledley
Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
Ledley King feels all the better for getting 90 mintues of reserve team action under his belt against Chelsea on Monday evening.
The brilliant young central defender, who has missed all season so far with a hip injury, looked like he'd never been away as himself and Anthony Gardner repelled virtually all Chelsea's attacking play at Stevenage.
It was Ledley's first competitive outing, having only played an hour of a practice game against Fulham at Motspur Park last week.
"Towards the end I was feeling a little bit tired, but I was determined to get through the full 90 minutes and get it under my belt," reflected Ledley, who eased through the game even after suffering a slight calf injury.
"I had a little nick on the calf and it was a bit dead and stiffened up slightly. I don't feel too bad overall and I glad I had the game.
"I felt quite good in the 60 minutes I had last week so we felt it was right to try and do 90 and push on from there."
With no reserve game scheduled for next week, Ledley admits he will be trying to catch Glenn's eye in training.
"Yes, I'll get back in training and take it step by step."
