Local school kids take centre stage at Hotspur Way!
30 June 2015|Tottenham Hotspur
It was a memorable day for Enfield school children on Monday as Tottenham Hotspur Foundation hosted a football festival at the Club’s Training Centre.
Teams of Year 5 and 6 boys representing 22 Enfield primary schools descended on Hotspur Way to show off their skills in the glorious sunshine.
The festival involved a rotation of six-a-side matches with Eversley Primary School winning the tournament overall and being presented with medals.
It is part of the Club’s £2.3m commitment to community sport and physical activity over 10 years to the Borough that is home to our world class Training Centre.
Since June, 2010, the relationship has seen the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation work alongside Enfield Council and Lee Valley Regional Park Authority to deliver projects aimed at benefitting the lives of people within the local community.
Our Foundation works closely with schools throughout Enfield, including a mentoring programme across 30 primary schools that sees Foundation staff providing additional classroom support to targeted students on a weekly basis.
We will be bringing you more on the successful work Tottenham Hotspur Foundation has ongoing in Enfield throughout the week as we celebrate five years of the Section 106 Partnership.
