Loanee Clinton wins Africa Cup of Nations with Cameroon

On-loan attacker Clinton Njie tasted Africa Cup of Nations glory with Cameroon on Sunday (February 5).

The 23-year-old, who linked up with French club Marseille in August, was on the bench as his side came back from a goal down to beat Egypt 2-1 in the final in Gabon.

Clinton, who made 14 appearances for us last season, played twice at the tournament, featuring in a 1-1 draw with Burkina Faso and a 2-1 victory over Guinea-Bissau.

To date, he’s played 13 times for Ligue 1 Marseille, scoring three goals.
