Our on-loan midfielder stepped off the bench with eight minutes remaining at Old Trafford, but was unable to help Steve Bruce’s side salvage anything from the game.

Our on-loan right-back stepped off the bench in the closing moments of the Lions’ 1-0 win at home to Bournemouth, helping his side keep a clean sheet and, in doing so, cement their spot in the Championship for next season.

Jon Obika also saw action in the same division, playing a key part in the build-up to Charlton Athletic’s second goal in their 3-0 triumph at Blackpool. He went on as a substitute with 12 minutes of normal time remaining.

Tom Carroll, meanwhile, was an unused substitute for Queens Park Rangers in their 3-2 win at Barnsley.

In the Premier League, Jake Livermore played the full game for Hull City in their 3-1 reverse at Aston Villa while Lewis Holtby played 34 minutes for Fulham in their 4-1 defeat at Stoke.

On Friday, Yago Falque played 90 minutes for Rayo Vallecano as they lost 3-0 at home to Athletic Club in Spain’s La Liga.

Cristian Ceballos was an unused substitute for FC Arouca as they won 1-0 at home to Gil Vicente in Portugal.
