Loan watch - midweek update

23 October 2013|Tottenham Hotspur

It was a tough night for our on-loan trio at Swindon Town, as the Robins slumped to a 3-1 home defeat to Walsall on Tuesday evening.

Grant Hall and Alex Pritchard both played 90 minutes, while Ryan Mason was introduced as a half-time substitute.

Alex looked a threat in a frustrating first half for Swindon, which saw Walsall take an 18th minute lead through Ashley Hemmings.

Sam Mantom doubled the visitors’ lead three minutes after half-time, and after Grant had a penalty appeal waved away as he sought to get on the end of Alex’s free-kick in the closing stages, Walsall broke down field and added a third through Hemmings.

Nile Ranger’s header seven minutes from time proved a mere consolation for Mark Cooper’s side.
