Loan watch - midweek update
Andros Townsend helped Birmingham City take another step towards securing a play-off place in the Championship on Tuesday night.
The winger set-up Chris Burke to open the scoring against Ipswich Town at Portman Road but the home side hit back for a 1-1 draw.
Andros played 77 minutes and the Blues still need another point from their remaining two games to guarantee a play-off spot.
In-form Harry Kane went close twice from distance in the first half of Millwall's 1-0 win at Coventry. Shane Lowry eventually won it for the Lions, who have now won four straight in the Championship, Harry on target in three of them (see below).
David Button could do little about the goals as Hull's Matt Fryatt scored a hat-trick to beat Barnsley 3-1 at the KC Stadium.
Finally, Tom Carroll was an unused substitute as Derby lost 2-0 at Cardiff.
Harry Kane did it again for Millwall - and his third goal in as many games secured the Lions' place in the Championship for another season.
The young striker, still just 18, produced a clinical finish, smashing into the roof of the net from 10 yards to open the scoring as his side beat Leicester City 2-1 at the New Den.
Harry was then involved in the second goal after the break as he was upended by Paul Konchesky in the penalty area to allow Andy Keogh to make it 2-0 from the spot.
Daniel Drinkwater replied late for the Foxes but Millwall held on for 2-1 and the win took them 10 points clear of the relegation zone with three matches remaining.
"I feel great at the moment," said Harry on Monday.
"We've put together a run of three-successive wins and that has kept the club in the division for another season, and I've managed to score in all three games, so that's been fantastic."
Staying in the Championship, Andros Townsend played 76 minutes as Birmingham came from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 against Bristol City.
David Button's loan at Barnsley has been extended until the end of the season and the goalkeeper could do little to prevent Cardiff's 1-0 win at Oakwell on Saturday.
Tom Carroll was a late substitute as Derby lost 1-0 at home to Middlesbrough.
In the Premier League, Steven Caulker collected another clean sheet at the Liberty Stadium as Swansea toppled West Brom 3-0 on Saturday. Kyle Naughton was an unused substitute as Norwich were beaten 6-1 at home by Manchester City.
Jonathan Obika's Yeovil had a day to forget as they were reduced to 10 men in the first half and ended up losing 6-0 at home against Stevenage in League One. Jon came on for the second half.
In the MLS, Simon Dawkins came off the bench for the second half as San Jose Earthquakes picked up a 2-2 draw at New York Red Bulls. Simon had a chance to win it but was denied by NYRB goalkeeper Ryan Meara.
In the Republic of Ireland, Oscar Jansson had little to do in goal as Shamrock Rovers beat Dundalk 6-0 to stay second in the Airtricity League.
