Lewis Holtby helped Fulham pick up three vital points in their battle to avoid relegation from the Premier League on another busy weekend for our loanees.
The midfielder got the assist for the Cottagers’ 86th minute winner, having gone close himself a few minutes beforehand, as Aston Villa were put to the sword 2-1 on Saturday.
Elsewhere in the top flight, Jake Livermore played 90 minutes for Hull City as they triumphed 1-0 against Swansea City.
Tom Carroll, playing for Queens Park Rangers alongside Spurs colleague Benoit Assou-Ekotto, set up his side’s goal at Bournemouth with a perfectly-weighted pass – but it wasn’t sufficient to prevent the R’s from slipping to a 2-1 defeat in the Championship.
Jon Obika also saw action in the same division, coming on as an 82nd minute substitute for Charlton Athletic in their 1-0 reverse against Reading. He also stepped off the bench last Tuesday night as the Addicks won 1-0 at Leeds United.
Alex Pritchard returned to action for Swindon Town in League One, stepping off the bench at half-time as his side chased the game at Carlisle United. Unfortunately for the Robins, though, they were unable to find the target and Carlisle claimed a 1-0 win.
In League Two, Shaq Coulthirst played 85 minutes for Torquay United against Scunthorpe United. His side lost 1-0 and finished the game with 10 men.
In Spain, Yago Falque helped Rayo Vallecano beat Celta Vigo 3-0 while, in Portugal, Cristian Ceballos played 68 minutes for FC Arouca in their 1-0 loss at Maritimo.
