Alex Pritchard bagged his first two goals for Brentford in their 3-2 friendly victory over OGC Nice at the weekend.
Our on-loan midfielder scored the Championship new boys’ second and third goals – the first of which from a free-kick – and completed 90 minutes at Griffin Park after making his Bees debut in last week’s win at Barnet.
Another of our players was handed a debut by his loan club at the weekend, with Kenny McEvoy starting for Peterborough United in their 2-1 friendly triumph against Brighton & Hove Albion.
Kenny caught the eye with a series of good runs and crosses from the right wing position, before being substituted at half-time.
Also in pre-season action on Saturday was Grant Hall, who helped Birmingham City claim a 3-0 win at Kidderminster Harriers.
The defender, who also featured in a 3-0 win over Cork City earlier this month, started for the Blues and was replaced just after the hour mark.
Grant Ward, on loan with MLS side Chicago Fire, lined up against us in our 2-0 friendly win at Toyota Park and was the last member of Fire’s starting XI to be replaced, departing the action in the 55th minute.
