Loan watch

David Button made a string of fine saves to help Doncaster earn a point at Hull in the Championship on Tuesday night.

On a busy night for our players out on loan, Tom Carroll scored on his debut for Derby, Ryan Mason returned from injury to make his debut for Millwall and Steven Caulker was seconds away from a famous double for Swansea over Arsenal and Chelsea.

Goalkeeper David was in outstanding form to deny Corry Evans, Cameron Stewart and several Robert Koren efforts in Doncaster's goalless draw at the KC Stadium.

Tom scored late as Derby left themselves with too much to do at Barnsley. They trailed 3-0 inside 30 minutes at Oakwell before Jamie Ward replied on the hour. Tom provided a cool, sidefoot finish from 12 yards in injury time but there was no equaliser for the Rams.

Staying in the Championship, Ryan and Harry Kane both played 57 minutes as Millwall lost 2-0 at home to Watford and Andros Townsend played a full shift as Leeds lost 4-1 at home to Birmingham.

In the Premier League, Steven played 90 minutes as Swansea led Chelsea until the final seconds of added time when Jose Boswinga's shot was deflected into his own net by Daniel Taylor.

In League One, John Bostock came on as substitute on the hour for his Sheffield Wednesday debut as the Owls drew 1-1 at MK Dons.

Meanwhile, Bongani Khumalo has been recalled from his loan spell at Reading.

The South African international, who joined us from Supersport United in January 2011, made five appearances for the Championship side.
