Loan watch

03 November 2014|Tottenham Hotspur

Jordan Archer kept a clean sheet for Northampton Town on a weekend of mixed fortunes for our on-loan players.

Goalkeeper Jordan was between the sticks as Northampton registered a 2-0 home win over AFC Wimbledon to climb to 15th place in League Two.

Shaq Coulthirst was an 84th minute substitute for Southend United as they won 2-1 at Mansfield Town in the same division, while Kenny McEvoy went on for Peterborough United with 15 minutes left of their 2-1 League One defeat at home to Scunthorpe.

In the Championship, Alex Pritchard was introduced off the bench for Brentford mid-way through the second half as the Bees beat Derby County 2-1 at Griffin Park, while Ryan Fredericks and Milos Veljkovic sat in reserve for Middlesbrough in their 3-0 win at Rotherham United.

Grant Hall was an unused substitute for Birmingham City in their 0-0 draw at Wolves, while Swansea City’s Premier League match at Everton also ended without score – Tom Carroll going on for the last 14 minutes after the Swans were reduced to 10 men.

In Germany, Lewis Holtby helped Hamburg claim a 1-0 home victory over Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga, the midfielder being withdrawn in stoppage time.
