Grant Ward started for Chicago Fire in their goalless MLS draw with Vancouver Whitecaps on Wednesday night.

Our on-loan midfielder played 62 minutes at Toyota Park before being withdrawn as part of a double change by Fire Head Coach Frank Yallop.

Grant’s fellow loanee Kenny McEvoy was also in action on Wednesday – he started for Peterborough United in their goalless pre-season friendly draw with Charlton Athletic, playing 69 minutes before being replaced.

Grant Hall was an unused substitute for Birmingham City in their 4-0 friendly win at Notts County on Tuesday evening.
