Loan watch

21 December 2015|Tottenham Hotspur

Grant Ward helped Rotherham United see off Hull City 2-0 on Saturday during another busy weekend for our loanees.

The midfielder completed the full 90 minutes for the Millers as they picked up three important points at home in the Championship.

Kenny McEvoy also tasted victory over the weekend as his York City side ended a run of nine straight defeats with a 2-1 home win over Morecambe in League Two.

Winger Kenny began the afternoon on the bench, but was called upon 13 minutes from time as the hosts saw out the game.

In the same division, young defender Christian Maghoma was an unused substitute for Yeovil Town as they drew 1-1 at Leyton Orient.

Elsewhere, Nathan Oduwa had a hand in Rangers’ goal as they suffered a rare defeat away to Falkirk in the Scottish Championship. The attacking midfielder’s cross was flicked on by James Tavernier to Barrie McKay who duly fired home, but the visitors still suffered a 2-1 defeat. Nathan was withdrawn after 65 minutes, while defender Dominic Ball was an unused substitute.

In the Premier League, DeAndre Yedlin was on the bench for Sunderland in their 3-1 defeat at Chelsea.
