Dominic Ball and Nathan Oduwa helped Rangers maintain their 100 per cent record in the Scottish Championship in dramatic fashion on Saturday.
On-loan centre-back Dominic started for Mark Warburton’s side and completed the full 90 minutes as they played host to Queen of the South, while attacking midfielder Nathan stepped off the bench just before the hour mark with the scores level at 1-1.
As the game entered its latter stages, Martyn Waghorn missed the chance to put the hosts ahead as he saw his penalty kick saved but, in the 90th minute, Nathan sent in a cross and Waghorn headed home to give his side a 2-1 victory, making it 10 wins out of 10 on the domestic scene so far in 2015-16.
Elsewhere, DeAndre Yedlin retained his place in Sunderland’s starting line-up under new manager Sam Allardyce for their Premier League trip to West Bromwich Albion on Saturday. The right-back completed the full game but saw his side suffer a 1-0 defeat.
In the Championship, midfielder Grant Ward was introduced as a 64th-minute substitute for Rotherham United in their 2-1 defeat at Brentford.
