Andros Townsend helped Leyton Orient take a step nearer to Wembley on Tuesday night.

The winger certainly made an impact after coming on as a 65th-minute substitute as the Os beat Brighton 1-0 in the Johnstone's Paint (Football League) Trophy Southern Section, second round tie at Brisbane Road.

Andros forced Brighton goalkeeper Graeme Smith into two smart saves after coming on and the home side finally broke through in the final minutes when Adrian Patulea thumped home the winner.

The win sent the Os into the last 16 of the competition with the final played at Wembley.
