Jon Obika scored the goal that guaranteed Yeovil's safety in League One on Saturday.

It was somewhat apt that the Academy striker was on target in a 1-1 draw at Tranmere as his four goals in nine games on loan have played a huge part in the Glovers' survival.

Andros Townsend also played for 57 minutes at Prenton Park while Danny Hutchins was an unused substitute.

It's bubbling up nicely in League Two where two of our young professionals face huge matches next weekend.

Troy Archibald-Henville played his 18th game as Exeter City drew 2-2 against Morecambe. They stay in the automatic promotion slot in third place and will go up against Wycombe and Bury for a place in League One next weekend. If they beat Rotherham away on Saturday they are up.

David Button kept his second clean sheet in three games for Dagenham & Redbridge as the Daggers beat Notts County.

That has set-up a play-off shoot-out against Shrewsbury at home on Saturday - a point will do it for the Daggers.

Back in League One, David Hutton hit the woodwork late for Cheltenham in a 1-1 draw against Carlisle. Yuri Berchiche was an unused substitute and the result confirmed Cheltenham's relegation.

Meanwhile, Dorian Dervite played 90 minutes for Southend in a 1-1 draw at Oldham but the Shrimpers, despite a great recent run, can't make it into the play-offs.

In the Championship, Giovani dos Santos played 90 minutes as Roy Keane's revolution at Ipswich kicked-off with a 3-0 win at Cardiff.

Chris Gunter also played a full shift for Forest in a 1-1 draw at Blackpool. They are not out of relegation trouble yet - but will be if Norwich lose againsty Reading on Monday night. Otherwise, it's all on the last day of the season with Forest, Norwich and Barnsley all trying to survive.

Danny Rose was a 65th-minute substitute for Watford as they came from 2-0 down to beat Coventry City 3-2.

Finally, striker Tomas Pekhart scored the first goal in his latest game for Slavia Prague, a 3-0 win against Tescoma Zlin in the quarter-finals of the Czech Cup.
