John Bostock experienced football's highs and lows in Hull City's 2-2 draw at Leeds in the Championship on Tuesday night.

The young midfielder opened the scoring in spectacular fashion at Elland Road as he fired home a free-kick from fully 30 yards in the 14th minute.

However, he was sent off in the second half after picking up two yellow cards. Hull snatched a late equaliser with 10 men.

Speaking about a mixed night for Bostock, Tigers' boss Nigel Pearson said: "He's shown what he's capable of (with the goal) and it was a fantastic strike. But he's having to deal with the disappointment of being sent off as well. It was a mixed bag for him, but he showed just what he can bring to us."

Jake Livermore faced a midfield showdown with Robbie Savage as Ipswich Town faced Derby County at Portman Road. Jake was substituted on the hour as the Rams won 2-0. Andros Townsend came off the bench for the final 20 minutes.

Kyle Walker played another 90 minutes as QPR maintained their unbeaten record in the Championship with a 1-1 draw at Portsmouth. That record was tested to the limit though as Rangers needed an injury time penalty for the draw.

Jon Obika was an unused substitute as Crystal Palace beat Watford 3-2 at Selhurst Park.
