Dominic Ball picked up a second winner’s medal with Rangers in the space of five days after helping his loan club lift the Scottish Challenge Cup on Sunday.
The defender played the full 90 minutes as Mark Warburton’s men swept aside the challenge of Peterhead with a 4-0 scoreline to win the trophy at Hampden Park, having clinched the Scottish Championship crown with four games to spare on Tuesday night.
Elsewhere on Sunday, right-back DeAndre Yedlin completed the full game for Sunderland in their 2-0 Premier League defeat at home to Leicester City while, on Saturday, midfielder Grant Ward put in a full shift for Rotherham United as they took a huge step towards securing Championship safety with a 4-0 victory at MK Dons.
In addition, it’s been a busy week for central defender Federico Fazio. He went on as a 12th-minute substitute for the injured Benoit Tremoulinas in Sevilla’s 2-1 Europa League quarter-final first leg win away to Athletic Bilbao on Thursday night, then played 90 minutes as his side lost 2-1 away to Valencia in Spain’s La Liga on Sunday.
