Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
Dean Marney is already making his mark in his loan spell at Norwich — here, Chris Hughton tells us what the club is looking for from that move and Mark Yeates’ spell at Colchester United.
Midfielder Dean set up Dean Ashton’s goal in Norwich’s 1-1 draw against Coventry in the Championship on his debut on Saturday and struck the woodwork from a free-kick as the Canaries drew again against Crewe on Tuesday night.
Meanwhile, winger Mark made his full debut and played 90 minutes as Colchester lost 2-1 against Swansea in League One.
“Basically, these loans are about games and experience,” said Chris, who went to watch Dean’s performance for Norwich. “These are two players who have been knocking on the door of the first team last season in particular.
“Yeatesy made his debut on the final day of the season before last at Wolves, Dean obviously has that memorable game against Everton and also played at Manchester United and did a good job on Roy Keane.
“Once you’ve had a taste it can be frustrating because they want more so from our point of view the next best thing is to get them out on loan and have valuable experience at that level.
”Norwich is a team we’re expecting to be at the top end of the table and it’s a good opportunity for Mark to get games as well.
“In both cases it’s a case of us assessing the players. Clive (Allen) watched Yeatesy on Tuesday and I watched Dean against Crewe.
“We don’t just send them away and see them again in six months — by the time they come back we’ve will have assessed exactly how they’ve done. It then up to them to come knocking on our door and say ‘we’ve done well there, what about a chance here?’”
