Mousa Dembele bundled home in the second period after Steven Gerrard had restored the Reds' lead from the penalty spot when Danny Rose was adjudged to have fouled Daniel Sturridge, before substitute Mario Balotelli converted from close range seven minutes from time to win the game for the hosts.
