Light up Wembley on Wednesday!
31 October 2016|Tottenham Hotspur
On Matchday One we created history at Wembley Stadium, connected by EE. Now we invite our fans to create an iconic ‘I was there’ moment on Matchday Four of the Champions League. Let’s light up Wembley!
It was never in doubt that our fans would make the national stadium into a home from home back in September. The sea of white walking up Wembley Way was something to behold. The sight of Wembley full to the brim of Spurs fans was a moment never to be forgotten.
Fans created history that September night as 85,011 set new Club and English home record attendances.
Now we’re back and looking for something equally special. We want to light up Wembley for what could be one of the iconic images of our modern history.
The famous Wembley arch will again be illuminated in lilywhite throughout the night and we want to ensure that we light up the inside of this famous stadium in our colours too.
Once the players enter the field and that Champions League anthem commences, turn your mobile phone lights on and let's turn the national stadium's internal bowl lilywhite!
Elsewhere around the stadium, keep an eye out for members of our Spurs Ladies team and fanbassadors who will again be handing out handwaver flags as well as glow sticks and limited edition posters for our younger supporters - arrive early to ensure you don't miss out...
We will have our club mascots Chirpy and Lily in and around the stadium to meet and greet our supporters, while our club colours will be clear for all to see across Wembley Stadium, through an array of fan flags and a surfing banner, as well as on lamp posts and Olympic Way outside the stadium. Feel free to bring your own flags too!"
You can also enjoy the familiar sounds of the Tottenham Steel Band once again on the outer concourse.
Fancy appearing on the screens at Wembley? Share your photos with us by posting on Twitter and Instagram using #SpursAtWembley and you could find yourself on the concourse screens or the big screen inside the stadium.
*Flags and banners permitted in accordance with Wembley’s usual rules and regulations - please refer to ‘guidance to use of flags at Wembley Stadium', see the link below.
