Light for Ledley
Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
Ledley King has started to see some light in his battle against the hip injury that has kept him out of action this season.
Our England international defender has not kicked a ball in anger after suffering the problem in the summer.
Boss Glenn Hoddle reported before the trip to Blackburn that the youngster would be put to the test in training to see if could overcome the problem.
Ledley has done just that in the last fortnight and it's a case of so far, so good.
"It's gone well," said Ledley. "I've managed to do a full session with the lads and the hip's not causing too many problems.
"At the moment it's just a case of going out there, working and doing as much as I can. I think I've a little tear in the hip but I might be able to push on and forget about it.
"I just want to keep training and once I've got that under my belt, I might be able to look at reserve games.
"I'd like to think the worst of it is over, touch wood. I'm out there training and not really feeling it."
And Ledley insisted he was ready for the hard work ahead to battle back to full fitness.
"Basically I'm starting from scratch," he added. "I missed pre-season. I've been out doing work with the physios but it's nice to have that work under your belt.
"So I've got a lot of work to do, it is hard work, but I'm prepared for it."
