Life-changing project reaches milestone
16 December 2016|Tottenham Hotspur
This week we celebrated 10 years of Kicks – a Premier League initiative that the Club piloted in 2006, achieving incredible results.
Kicks uses football as a way to engage hard-to-reach young people with free evening sessions run on the UK’s toughest housing estates.
Our flagship project on Ferry Lane in Tottenham has helped hundreds of teenagers from the area steer clear of crime and anti-social behaviour and, in many cases, opened up career paths.
A shining example is Sivan Sherabayani who has been coming to Ferry Lane Kicks from the very beginning. Now 24, he runs his own football coaching company and was named our ‘Kicks Hero’ with his story immortalised in a comic strip presented to him by none other than Dele Alli.
