Lewis relishing Bridge encounter
Lewis Holtby cannot wait for tonight's huge Premier League clash against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
"This is what being a footballer is all about, playing for a club like this in a game like this," said the midfielder, who impressed again off the bench this time in a hour's stint for Mousa Dembele in Saturday's 1-0 win against Southampton.
The Stamford Bridge showdown pits fifth against third in the Premier League.
"I’m really looking forward to it, a night game under the lights, a huge game," added Lewis. "It’s another cup final for us, I always say that, we’re up for it and I'm sure it will be amazing to watch."
Lewis is already a crowd favourite with his all-action style in the midfield areas and he said our fans lifted him as he entered the fray in a testing game against the Saints at the Lane on Saturday.
"It was a tough game and we needed the three points, no matter what," he added.
"If we'd have played fantastic football and lost 1-0 we would have all been devastated.
"I was on the bench, my name was called and the crowd really lifted me. It’s a great venue to play and I was just delighted to be out there. As I said, three points was all that mattered."
