Let them worry about us
Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
Stephen Clemence reckons we should forget about David Ginola and let Aston Villa worry about us on Saturday.
Recent Lane hero Ginola is back from injury and desperate to play against his former club after recovering from a thigh injury.
Midfielder Clemence and his team-mates know all about the potential threat the Frenchman will carry if he plays — and it looks like a big if — but insists instead that we will worry ourselves.
He said: “Obviously we know all about David. We know what he can do but we know what he can’t do as well. He’s a great player and one we’ve a lot of respect for and if he does play he is a threat. We’ll have to nullify that.
“But we’re not going to go there thinking about the opposition too much. We’ll go there and we’ve got good players ourselves that they should be worrying about as well.”
Clemence is expecting a tight game against a Villa side who boast a
well-oiled defensive machine but are struggling to score goals at the other end.
He added: “They are very good defensively, they’ve played the same system now for a few years and it’s been basically the same personnel. They all know what they are doing and they are hard to break down.
“They haven’t scored a lot of goals lately though and we’re hoping it will be the same case on Saturday and we can nick a goal and get the result we want.
“I don’t think we were a disgrace in our last away game at Chelsea and we’ve got to go to Villa, be confident and try to turn our home form into good away form, which we’re capable of doing.”
