Les ready to rumble
Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
Les Ferdinand is looking forward to locking horns with old rivals Martin Keown and Tony Adams again at Highbury.
And Les certainly has a score to settle with Arsenal’s old guard — he has yet to score against our North London rivals since arriving at the Lane in 1997.
Team-mates so often on international duty, the trio have had some bruising battles in Les’ time at QPR, Newcastle and Spurs.
Les admitted: “I’ve loved my time playing against Adams and Keown.
“A few weeks ago at West Ham everyone was talking about Stuart Pearce and as a player you know what to expect from certain players and I know exactly what to expect from Tony Adams and Martin Keown. It will be a battle and I’m looking forward to it.”
Les insisted neither side could afford to have one eye on next week’s FA Cup semi-final clash. “That can only get you in trouble,” he added.
“It will be tough but you’d expect nothing less against Arsenal. Form guide goes out of the window and we’re gearing ourselves up for it.
“We will go out, we have a game to win and that’s how we will think at Highbury. We can’t have one eye on the semi-final.”
