Les on Taylor
Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
Les Ferdinand will always be grateful to Graham Taylor - the man who handed him his first England cap.
The pair come face to face again on Saturday when Taylor brings Aston Villa to the Lane for our first home game of the Premiership season.
Les' first cap was in the now infamous World Cup qualifier against San Marino back in November 1993 and he scored in a 7-1 win.
The striker holds the utmost respect for the Villa boss and believes he will turn Midlands outfit's fortunes around again.
Les said: "He gave me my England debut, brought me into the squad and I'll always be grateful to him for that.
"I've always said the unfortunate thing for Graham Taylor was that he lost his England job playing the football other people wanted him to play, not doing it the way he wanted to.
"I think that would be the most disappointing thing for him.
"His record is right up there as an England manager but he lost his job not playing football he wanted to.
"He's got a proven track record and I know there have been a few ups and downs at Villa but I'm sure he's the man to get them back on track.
"This time he'll come into White Hart Lane with the opposition so on Saturday we'll forget about our niceties until after the game."
