Les gets that cup buzz again
Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
Les Ferdinand still gets that FA Cup buzz as he prepares for his 14th year in the world’s most famous cup competition.
The furthest he’s been in that time is the semi-finals at Spurs back in 1999 although the disappointment of losing out to his former club Newcastle on that occasion was somewhat diluted by a Wembley appearance in the Worthington Cup.
Ferdinand, 34 last month, enthused: “The FA Cup always grips everyone.
“People can’t wait for the New Year because they know it’s the start of the FA Cup.
“It will be a big game for them at their ground and a big game for us because we know the tradition at this club.
“Orient will approach it with an attitude of having nothing to lose.
“It’s a big game for them because it’s their chance to impress, an opportunity for them to put themselves in the shop window as well as progressing into the next round.
“It is their cup final and we know exactly how they will approach it. It’s important that we approach the game in the same manner.”
With our poor away form and O’s unbeaten at Brisbane Road, the tie is set up for a classic FA Cup shock.
Ferdinand added: “They’ve got a great home record and we’ve an abysmal away record so it should make for a great game.
“But you’d look at the quality we have in our side and hope that quality will take us through.”Les is 4/1 to open the scoring on Saturday - click onto SpursBet for all the details.
