Leicester v Spurs - Mauricio's preview
22 August 2015|Tottenham Hotspur
Mauricio Pochettino is full of respect for Leicester City as we head for the KP Stadium today (Saturday, August 22, 3pm).
The Foxes are off to a flyer in the Premier League under Claudio Ranieri and sit joint-top with two wins in two against Sunderland and West Ham.
That start has come as no surprise to Mauricio, who is determined to pick up points at the KP after our opening displays against United and Stoke went somewhat unrewarded, just one point to show for having more than a share in the game at Old Trafford and then leading 2-0 against Stoke last weekend only to draw 2-2.
“Leicester are a good team, very organised with good players and now with a new manager,” said Mauricio.
“They showed last season that they deserved to stay in the Premier League and it’s no surprise to me that they’ve played well and won the first two matches.”
Asked what type of game he expected on the Foxes’ home turf, Mauricio answered: “Matches in the Premier League are always open, tough and difficult to win.
“Leicester are a good team and in their stadium, an aggressive team who work a lot, with good organisation. I expect a tough game.”
Leicester City have advised fans without tickets not to travel to the KP today - the match is sold out.
