Legends join Cowboys as football meets football at Wembley!

Tue 04 November 2014, 19:55|Tottenham Hotspur

Ledley King and Steffen Freund today supported Tottenham Hotspur Foundation in an activity with Dallas Cowboys and the NFL ‘Play 60’ initiative at Wembley.

The event gave local school children the chance to take part in both soccer and American football skills activities ahead of the Cowboys’ match against Jacksonville Jaguars at Wembley this Sunday.

The whole Cowboys roster attended the event having arrived in London this morning, including star players Tony Romo and Dez Bryant.

Club legends Ledley and Steffen tried their hand at both sports alongside Cowboys players and delighted kids.

Ledley said: “It’s great that we are giving the chance for kids to learn a new sport today, as well as practice the football skills they are familiar with.

“It is always impressive how the NFL teams give something back to the community whenever they are in London, and Tottenham Hotspur has a great track record of doing that through the Foundation.”

Steffen added: “Tottenham Hotspur Foundation aims to create life changing opportunities, and we have done just that today, working with the Dallas Cowboys and NFL.

“The kids who have come along today will never forget the time they met some stars from the NFL and got the chance to play American Football.”

Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant, said: “It’s really cool that the Dallas Cowboys and Tottenham Hotspur have come together to do this event for the kids. Just listen to how loud it is, that’s the kids having fun, they’re enjoying themselves and we are too, especially me.”
