Lee's home from home

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Lee Barnard thought he'd seen the last of Broadhall Way for this season when our reserve side completed their home fixtures on Monday.

Now, the second-string's top goalscorer is heading back to the home of Stevenage Borough and makes his debut for the Conference outfit against Morecambe tomorrow.

Lee has joined Stevenage for an initial one-month loan stint and it presents the chance for the 19-year-old to extend his season with the reserves only having three fixtures remaining.

"I'm off to Stevenage for a bit and I am looking forward to getting a few games under my belt - and hopefully to banging in a few goals," said Lee before setting off to link up with manager Graham Westley and our former reserve coach Theo Foley.

"I do want games and this is a good opportunity for me. I found out on Thursday, Clive told me and I went along to sign a few forms and met some of the lads there. I met the manager and Theo was there as well," he added before saying he expects Conference football to be similar to what he experienced in Division Three with Exeter last term..

"I've seen the odd game here and there, I think it will be near enough the same as when I was at Exeter last season. I expect I'll get a few kicks here and there and it should toughen me up a bit."

First team coach Chris Hughton explained that the management felt it was time for Lee to go and sample senior football again.

"Lee is somebody who has served us very well at reserve team level and is ready to go out on loan again," reasoned Chris." We have been looking for opportunities for him to go out and you want him to go out at as high a level as possible.

"It has not been a particularly active market in that respect and we felt that he needs to go and play with men for a period of time and that is what he will be doing. It is a competitive league and there is not a lot of difference between the Conference and third division at the moment.

"He is going to Stevenage and we know the people there - and he knows the pitch."
