Hotshot Mark Viduka will hope to fire Leeds to victory on Sunday when Tottenham travel to Elland Road in this Premiership showdown. It was against the north Londoners last September that Viduka opened his account for United, with a double strike in a 4-3 win and the big man will be keen to add his first 'home' goal of this season in the league.

At the other end of the field, will be a centre forward who can expect a mixed reception from the crowd due to his connections with Manchester United, 35-year-old Teddy Sheringham.

The Spurs striker has enjoyed a glorious return to the capital since moving from Old Trafford in the summer, winning plaudits from critics all over the country for some highly impressive displays.

Sheringham has netted twice as many league goals as Viduka, with 16% of his efforts finding the back of the net - compared to just seven per cent from the Leeds man. A main feature of the Englishman's game is his superb vision, already setting up two Premiership goals for his new team-mates, and he will need to be watched if United are to regain their place at the top of the table.

Nevertheless Viduka will give the Spurs defence a testing afternoon. He has already caused a bit of misery to new Spurs defender Dean Richards this term, after the £8 million centre-back was on the receiving end of a two-nil defeat on the opening day of the season. And champion bookmakers Spurs Bet offer 11/2 on Richards suffering a repeat of that scoreline on Sunday.

Viduka is regarded as an automatic selection for David O'Leary with strike partners Robbie Keane and now Alan Smith - who has returned from injury - often being forced to alternate between the two over who is going to partner the giant Aussie.

Despite signing a new contract with Leeds in the summer, Viduka has never hid his passion for Italian football and with Roma keen on taking him to Serie A as a replacement for Gabriel Batiusta, he will probably move there in a couple of seasons.

But for now he remains an integral part of O'Leary's side and he can boast getting more efforts on target than Sheringham this season, despite lagging behind in the goals tally. However the most important thing for Viduka would be for the team to get three points before he and Harry Kewell travel Down Under for Australia's prestigious friendly with France.
