Ledley's Perry aid
Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
Ledley King says he learned a great deal from Chris Perry during his time at Spurs.
The England international insists Perry's no-nonsense defensive attitude certainly rubbed off as he developed into of the Premiership's top centre-halves.
The pair played together a number of times most notably in the 2001-02 season when Glenn Hoddle emplyed a three-man central defensive system.
Perry made almost 150 appearances for us between 1999-2003 is expected to line-up against us again for Charlton at the Lane on Saturday
"Chris is a great defender, first and foremost," said Ledley. "He was an under-rated player here, didn't get rave reviews but always did his job and was consistent.
"No striker liked playing against him and that says it all about the way he played.
"Chris was in the first team when I was a young player coming through the ranks and I learned a lot off him.
"People used to call him 'the rash' because he used to get so tight to strikers and he was horrible to play against.
"To be fair I wanted to get a part of that into my game. You take parts of everyone you've played with and Chris was certainly a great defender here."
