Ledley King hopes to recover from what he describes as a 'little knock' in order to turn out in the North London derby on Saturday.
Leds missed the win over Leeds with a slight ankle injury and is fairly confident of making the squad as the boys attempt to knock Arsenal out of their title stride at Highbury.
"I picked up a little knock on Saturday against Middlesbrough," revealed Ledley. "Nothing serious, just a little swelling around the ankle - not a problem.
"I was just jogging today (Wednesday), it was just nice to be back out there having a little jog and I'll see how it is.
"At the moment I think it should be alright, it's still not 100 per cent, but it might be well enough to get back in the squad."
Our newly-capped England defender says recent results help the boys enter the Arsenal game in a confident frame of mind and believes that league placings count for little in derby combat.
"We've had three good results and we've got our confidence back. We're looking forward to the Arsenal game.
"We played them earlier in the season and I thought we deserved to win. It's going to be a tough game, we know that, but it's a derby game and the form book goes out of the window."
Derby game or not, Ledley knows that our defenders will have their hands full resisting the onslaught of Arsenal's varied and in-form strikers.
"They've got three or four top quality strikers who are all different, all hard to play against, so you know you are in for a rough ride as a defender.
"This is the Premiership though and you're playing against tough players every week and get used to it.
"They are great on the break and soak up the pressure. One long ball and they're off and they can score from things like that.
"That's one thing they can do really well - we know it's going to be a tough game."
A tough game, but one that Ledley would not like to miss.
"Definitely. These are the games that players want to be involved in and I am certainly looking forward to the fixture."
