Ledley's got the blues
Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
Like Paul Robinson, there was more than a hint of disappointment in Ledley King's voice as he reflected on the draw at St Andrews.
We created the better chances in Saturday's encounter, forged ahead through Stephen Kelly and were denied twice in 30 seconds by keeper Maik Taylor after the home side had equalised.
However, the fact we could have lost right at the end when Clinton Morrison's volley sailed inches wide left Ledley, Robbo and Head Coach Martin Jol talking about a draw being just about right afterwards.
"Maybe a draw was a fair result but we're disappointed," said skipper Ledley. "We've created a lot of chances and when we score the first goal, we always look like we can win.
"It was tight game but when we got the ball down and played for just about the first time Stephen Kelly scored a great goal.
"Credit to Birmingham, they came back straight away but we were disappointed with the goal we conceded. It was a sloppy goal.
"We had a couple more chances after that but the keeper pulled off a couple of saves and then they've had a great chance at the end, so a draw was about right."
The rest of the weekend's results left us in ninth place in the Barclays Premiership, just three points adrift of Bolton in sixth. "It's still very tight and we'll keep fighting to the end," added Ledley.
