Ledley sets the challenge

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Ledley King insists the challenge for the squad now is to get another unbeaten run going - starting with Saturday's trip to Crystal Palace.

An eight-match sequence in the Barclays Premiership came to an end with defeat to Chelsea last week and, despite the reverse coming against the league leaders, the skipper feels the team did not make the impact they wished to on the game.

"Obviously we were disappointed and, in a way, it is a challenge for us to start again and get on another good run," reflected Ledley. "We weren't happy after Chelsea and felt we didn't do enough in the game.

"We now got to move on and try and start again."

Getting back on the trail of maximum points reward is all the more important because the teams behind are beginning to find a bit of form and are creeping up towards our total of 33. Even though the team emerged with some credit from the last two outings against Manchester United and Chelsea, the games added just a single point to our Premiership account.

"It is one point in six and we definitely want three points from the next game," added Ledley. "A point is not a bad result but it is not really going to do it for us - we will go there looking for three.

"Other teams are getting near, that is what this league is like, it only takes two games for teams below you to close in."

Meanwhile, the England international is not expecting any easy points pickings at Selhurst Park and knows from personal experience the threat posed by Palace goal-getter in chief Andy Johnson.

"They came to our place, did well and made it a difficult game for us. I expect it will be another tough game at their place.

"Andy is a good player, I have worked with him before at England under-18 level and he has always been very sharp and had an eye for goal. He has been brilliant for Palace this season and we will have to be careful."
