LEDLEY READY

Martin Jol has confirmed that Ledley King is fit and ready to return to action against Manchester United.

Martin Jol has confirmed that Ledley King is fit and ready to return to action against Manchester United.

The skipper missed our opening three Premiership fixtures after undergoing minor knee surgery towards the end of July.

However, there is a down side to the coin as we prepare to travel to Old Trafford with striker Dimitar Berbatov struggling to overcome an injury he suffered on international duty with Bulgaria in Romania on Saturday.

Martin reported: "Dimitar is probably out with a groin injury but Ledley is fit.

"Steed Malbranque had a hernia operation this week and will be out for another seven to eight weeks and Pascal Chimbonda had a kick on his calf in his last match for Wigan but he's back today and will train with us."
