Ledley ready for part two
Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
Ledley King is looking forward to completing the challenge of facing Chelsea and Manchester United back to back in the Premiership.
It doesn't come much trickier than a trip to Stamford Bridge followed by the visit of the FA Cup holders. They boys emerged with a point from part one last Sunday and will be seeking to reap the full three when United roll up at the Lane, boosted by Monday night's impressive win over Liverpool at Old Trafford.
Ledley feels the games will provide a marker for the team in terms progress made this season.
"It was going to be tough, Chelsea and Man Utd back to back in the league," reasoned the brilliant central defender. "It is the chance to see where we're at.
"I expect it to be a different kind of game to Chelsea, we are at home and I think we'll take the game to them.
"Everyone is confident and everyone is looking forward to the game believing we can win it. Maybe in the past we might have been apprehensive about this fixture but, at the moment, we are confident and looking forward to it."
Ledley and his defensive colleagues will certainly expect to be put to the test by the possible United strike partnership of Ruud van Nistelrooy and Alan Smith - although there is a suggestion that one Wayne Rooney might be involved.
"It will be a test for our defence and it would be nice to keep another clean sheet," added Ledley on the Smith-van Nistelrooy combination.
"They are robust, I think Smith has bought a bit more physical play into it. They are both dangerous, Van Nistelrooy is a clever player and you have to keep an eye on him at all times as his goalscoring record is unbelievable.
"Most of his goals come from inside the box so we'll have to try and keep him out.
"Smith does a bit more running about and you might find him on the left or right sometimes, but they are both great forwards and it will be tough."
