Ledley pays his respects
16 November 2016|Tottenham Hotspur
The Club’s campaign of Remembrance 100 Years on from the Battle of the Somme was rounded off by a poignant moment in Haringey last Sunday.
Ledley King attended the Borough’s Remembrance Service in Wood Green to lay a poppy wreath on behalf of the Club, alongside Mayor Cllr Ali Gul Ozbek, Armed Forces personnel, Cabinet members and religious leaders.
During recent weeks, our #SpursRemembers campaign has seen the Club pay its respects to those who have made the ultimate sacrifice in armed conflict and driven awareness of the Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal.
An online auction of special edition Poppy Shirts worn in the North London derby closed earlier this week and we shall be revealing the total amounts raised for the charity on our channels soon.
